We took delivery of a new 2018 Denali this weekend and love it. One thing that has me puzzled is the DRL. I understand the lights must be switched to auto, but should the led signature/accent lighting and the lowbeam headlights be on for DRL? My initial thought was that only the led's should be on but i could be wrong. Or it could just be me trying to figure out all the settings. This is a big change from the 2011 Acadia Denali we're coming from...lol.

What does your manual say? New vehicles are usually set to the best setting but allow for changes. On your DIC you should be able to set it back to factory then you can take a look and make changes if needed

My ‘18 Denali only has the LED accent DRLs during they day. There may be some settings in the DIC but a quick call to the dealer should inform you if you can’t find anything in the manual.

So are your headlights on as well or is it strictly the led accents that are the DRLs? My dealer indicated the auto headlight function should be turned off in order to enable the DRL. If this is the case it seems silly. I would think that the two could be used together. DRLs are on during day and they go off when it's night.

We had a 15 SLT and now have a 17 SLT Premium and both have only had the LED DRL strip on during the day, then at dark, LED strip dims and low beam headlights come on. All of this is with the switch on the auto setting

Thanks for the replies. I"m sure its just a case of figuring everything out. Unfortunately it went back to the dealer 3 days after we got it to have a ding fixed and it's been dark every day this week by the time i get home to check it out....it's the wife's car.
