Can you disconnect one side of the automatic running boards so that the passenger side continues to work and the drivers side stays under the car and doesn’t move out? I’m 6’4” and don’t like the running boards. All they do is get my pant legs dirty stepping over them! My wife is 5’6” and bitches about how difficult it is to “climb up” into the Yukon without the running boards. Can I have it both ways?

Half the time i just step over mine to get into the burb. but i know my wife loves them being 5'4", so i completely understand. Steps on my truck are more useful, but i have started to learn to force myself to use the factory powered steps on the suburban, just an awkward half step to get up and then slide in like on my truck
