2021 Rear entertainment and iphone

I just bought a 2021 Yukon Denali and the rear entertainment system has me pulling my hair out! I’ve watched A LOT of YouTube videos about how to get video to play on the screen from your iPhone and it’s just not working, sort of. I have the hdmi cord and the hdmi lightning adapter, I can get the screen to mirror my iPhone but that’s it. By mirror I mean in the middle of the tv screen is a 3x4 image of my phone. The screens are nice and big, so why won’t my movies show up FULL SCREEN? Picture attached to help explain. If anyone can tell me what I’m doing wrong that would be AMAZING!!!

Turn the phone sideways, then rotation lock it in the landscape orientation?

That worked! Thank you so much! Found a few new concerns, like annoying headphone static, but this worked! Thank you!!!

You could always pair the headphones w/ the Phone vs the Car, and see if that works better.
