Driving down the highway outside of Tulsa going cross country and it just shut down on the highway and wouldn't restart. Tahoe currently has 13,000 on the odometer its a 5.3 premier. Luckily Im about 10 miles from a dealership and have my chevy care so they towed it to the dealership. Have to wait til the morning before they can look into it. It looks like it may be a fuel pump to me I know I just saw a recall for the fuel pump on these before I left. I don’t think its the dreaded lifter saga because it won’t restart and just shut down out of the blue. Hopefully its just the pump and they can change it and get me back on the road. Ill leave an update when I get it figured out.

Hopefully if you need parts, you get then quicker than the 6 days it took them to get to my dealer for my transmission leak.

I have had my 2021 since December 2020 in that time I have taken my 2010 that is now at 266,000 miles on more road trips. My 2010 has never stranded me anywhere I wish I could just buy it over again.

The LS based motors will go down in history as some of the best ever. I have had many. My last was a 2013. We actually went back to the Ls after so many LT ridiculous issues in 5 trucks. The Ls is confidence inspiring and can be taken anywhere without fear. There is nothing that cant be be fixed anywhere in the country. Simple perfect design, easy to diagnose and fix. Get rid of AFM in a good motor and your bulletproof ! That said I have the same hopes for the 3.0 in our new truck which has been flawless.

My LS 2010 I had to replace the water pump 2 weeks ago it was getting noisy and slightly leaking, $120 at Autozone and the only engine repair to date on that one. AFM still active.

Same problem with my 6.2l Tahoe, fuel pump controller failed with 18,000kms on it. Garage don’t know when I’ll get it back, but wants to sell me a HD truck?
