Looks like GMC dropped the reserve package today and put the ultimate back up

Agreed. But this would be quite the option for a dealer to add after the fact. Would the sensors be installed in the bumpers, just not activated? Would the bumpers even have the pre-cut holes for the sensors to go into? Depending on the answers to these questions adding this type of feature after the fact would be very expensive and involved quite a bit of labor. Plus; There are some GMC/Chevrolet dealerships that only have a service department and not a body shop.

With the list of options and features becoming no longer available due to supply chain issues GM should just move towards an a la carte option system. Instead of creating "new" option groups to dance around items that simply aren't available.

The front/rear park assist has turned into another item that will be added back in later -- the info floating around (including the letter sign off for customers) indicates that the system/buttons will be in the vehicle, may even light up, but aren't active. What I take that to mean is that the only thing missing will be the control module. Bumper sensors, etc should be present from the factory as normal
