Question: I have heard some people say that a car sitting too long in a hot place like Midlothian could end up with issues to the fuel injectors. Has anyone heard or experienced this?

When the engine is running is the engine bay hot?Question: I have heard some people say that a car sitting too long in a hot place like Midlothian could end up with issues to the fuel injectors. Has anyone heard or experienced this?
But it could gum them up if the fuel contained in the rail began to age, etc, correct? Although, at least the fuel in the rail is not exposed to the environment. When the engine is running is the engine bay hot?
To answer your question no just sitting in Midlothian will not ruin the fuel injectors because it's hot. Lol.
They don't have much gas in them. And gas doesn't break down as fast as some may think. But it could gum them up if the fuel contained in the rail began to age, etc, correct? Although, at least the fuel in the rail is not exposed to the environment.
Tend to agree w/ that...esp if they stay off the Ethanol based stuff...and it is seald in the fuel rail. They don't have much gas in them. And gas doesn't break down as fast as some may think.
I think passenger vehicle powertrains are much better at dealing with this than small engines typically used for yard work. They don't have much gas in them. And gas doesn't break down as fast as some may think.
