2022 suburban Z71 park assist

I just got a new 2022 Suburban Z71 and there is a park assist button but when I press it the light does not come on.
There is no park assist working at the moment.
Thoughts?

Does your window sticker show it was deleted but to be added later by dealer retrofit?

That’s the boat a lot of us are in. Still waiting on an ETA from GM

I believe you have to stop, press the button, and then slow roll until it finds the spot. Once it goes, press brake, put in reverse, and it’ll park itself.

if you didn't buy it new, put your VIN at the end of the link below...retrofits for park assist started appearing on the window sticker as credits at the beginning of 2022

our 2022 built in March was the same way...front/rear park assist and heated seats wouldn't work from factory

My Yukon SLT built in Feb 2022 also has the retrofit for Park assist and heated steering wheel. I did get the heated and ventilated seats.

That’s parking assist. Turns the BEEP BEEP BEEP off when backing up.
