This is going to be like my Subaru airbag recall timeline...

Heard about it on the news in Q3 2016
Got a recall letter from the dealer in Q2 2017
Sold the car in 2018
Notified that a new airbag was finally available for installation in Q2 2021

For those with a 2022 that was built without the front/rear park assist (to be retrofitted in 4Q22), how is your dealer handling prioritizing the work? I haven’t yet heard from my dealer, but thinking it would be based on who first received their truck. But curious if anyone has received details. Thanks in advance.
Well now it’s Dec. 13th. 2022 and just wondering if maybe you have been retrofitted. I’m still waiting.

Nobody has been retrofitted. I am also waiting since March 2022 but 2023 models have it so come on GM get with it!

I'm also waiting. Took delivery in July on a Tahoe. Asked the dealer when I bought mats in October and was told I would get a letter from GM that parts are available and then they can order them. Still nothing.

Bought my Yukon in May. Still waiting. The Yukons delivered since October have the chip. GM has our money and does not care about existing customers.

I just bought a 2022 Tahoe z71. It is fitted with the front / rear park assist sensors. But when I picked it up, the sensors don’t work. Window sticker says to be later retrofit. This is my first post. What is proper way to take care of this ? I bought it out of state so that dealership I can’t go back to for service.
The park assist is critical for this car. It’s for my wife and three very young kids.

Welcome to the "Waiting for the retrofit group"!
Bought my '22 in August & still waiting.
They have started the retrofits.
Dealer advised me that they are "allocating the parts"
We will receive a notice from GM when it is our turn.
You can get the retrofit at any dealer once you are notified.

Agree that on a vehicle of this size, PA is a must.
Very frustrating.
