The factory size is taller than those. I wouldn’t go shorter. 275/50R22 is the factory size. The industry hasn’t caught up to this relatively new size. That’s why the 305/45R22 works. Same height as stock tire size, and they come in XL rating vs the truck tire E rating.
True story!

I’m going to add the 305/45r22 Hankook Dynapro AT2 on my suburban Z71 with OEM take off 22’s.

Tire rack has them for less than $1500 delivered.

Excited to see how it turns out.

Alenza’s are terrible in snow period. I know tire performance. They are not suitable to stop or have lateral traction. We also have a 21 Denali Ultimate. I put BFG’s and 20 inch take offs on it during the winter. That thing turned into an absolute snow tank. It was incredible.

The ko2’s almost rival some of the best snow tires out there. Plus you can run them in the summer too.

Are your’s factory size? Almost got the 33x12.5’s for the 22’s on my wifes high country (only 22” they offer), but didnt like the idea of them being shorter than the stockers. Went with 305/45/22’s in toyo at3 instead.

The photo shows my winter setup.

GM Take off 20’s, actually they are replica wheels I purchased on eBay for a $1000. Then mounted the factory AT4/Z71 tire size 275/60R20 in the BFG ATKO2. I have ran the BFG for 25 years and am a huge fan.

In the summer we run the stock 22” black wheels and the Alenza’s.

I just bought a Suburban z71 for myself as a daily driver. I really prefer the look of the 22” wheel, especially on the XL/Suburban, so I purchased a set of take offs and have ordered the 305/45/22 for those wheels.

Game Changer!

Michelin has a 305/45R22 now, that is approved for a 9 inch rim.

MICHELINDEFENDER LTX M/S305 /45 R22 118H XL BSW

It’s an amazing tire… it’s also under $300
