2023 Suburban is here! But….

Got super lucky and finally got my hands on a vehicle! 2023 Suburban 5.3L LT with LT signature plus package and 2nd row bucket seats. He’s beautiful. Only one complaint…it came with a front vanity plate holder screwed into the front bumper! It doesn’t mention anything on the WS about it and when you go to build a suburban in the Chevy website, it says the bracket is included if it’s required in your state and it’s not required in NC.I’m guessing their is no way to remove it without leaving giant bolt holes in the bumper, so I’m a little bummed about that. Otherwise, it’s everything I wanted it to be!

Get creative and hang a plate on there that expresses your opinions about your new Burb.

You can also buy body color plugs and just cover the holes with those. I had to do that for my car I bought from Illinois. They wouldn’t let me out of the state without a front plate. Put holes right through the front of a rubber bumper cover…

Got it, thanks. I could only find generic colors, was wondering if there’s a special place to get these in factory colors.

Might go with a plate temporary that you like. Put this on our old Blazer since the slot was made to have a plate there.

Spray them with factory paint.

I've removed the bumper cover and had several of my vehicles entire front bumper cover repaired and repainted because of this. We've owned several different makes of cars over the years, it seems mainly GM who still cannot engineer a way to attach a front plate without screwing coarse wood screws through the painted bodywork....

I've also discovered the front plate argument is a very hot topic, rivaling many political discussions.
