2023 Tahoe RST 6.2L Engine Stopped - starts with rattle

2023 Tahoe RST 6.2L with 33,000 miles. Regular oil changes at the dealer. Started hearing a squeaking noise. Then a rattle. Finally today I was driving and it was bucking and squeaking. I pulled off and the engine idled for 20 seconds before it shut down. I restarted it and it sounded like i had marbles in the motor. Had it towed to the dealer. Stopping there in the morning to see what's going on. Trying to load a video...

Another forum member posted the recall notice for 2023 motor replacement. I read that recall notice and it sounds like GM is serious about these issues and is replacing engine on the 2023. It sucks to be without vehicle but you shouldn’t have any problems with dealership fixing your truck asap. Good luck with your new motor!

Dealer called. Drained oil. Full of metal. More to come tomorrow. Just found the lifter bore customer satisfaction program on the 23’

Hyper complexity in order to squeeze out another 1 mile per gallon. I can see why people with the mechanical skills try to
DE-Detroit their engines.
