Just ordered a 25 AT4 with the AT4 premium package. I tried ordering with option of black front and rear emblem for $295 and would not allow, but does allow me on gmc page build/price.

Anyone else have issues, or were able to order with black emblems.

Thx

Long reply:

I bought a new 2024 Tahoe Premier 4WD that was a stock unit. The window sticker specified black front and rear emblems, but they were not on the vehicle.

The salesperson stated the emblems are dealer-installed and are shipped separately to the dealership. This is known as a “LPO” - limited production option.

The emblems had not arrived, although the vehicle had been at the dealership for 2 months. The salesman said it was common for the items to arrive after the vehicle did.

We agreed on a price, but I had the dealership hold the vehicle until after Christmas. During that time, the emblems arrived and were installed. The rear one is an appliqué which replaces the one installed at the factory (gold emblem). I’m not sure if the front one is just the emblem, or the emblem and a portion of the grille.

To make this longer:

In January, my wife and I ordered a 2025 Equinox RS AWD for her. Although the Chevrolet “build and buy” feature showed two options we wanted, when the dealer ordered the vehicle, both were constrained. I sat with him while he ordered the vehicle, and a warning came up that the options were not available (a retractable rear cargo shade and the dealer-installed front and rear splash guards).

The Chevrolet build and buy feature still show the items available as an option, but the GM accessories site does not show them.

You are probably experiencing the same - GMC’s website shows a feature, but their ordering system will not allow the order.

This is an example of poor coordination between the various people involved in marketing and ordering new vehicles.

Sadly, I've found similar issues, too. We recently ordered a Sierra 1500 AT4. I specified one out using the GMC 'build and price' web page, but found much of what I ordered wasn't really order able from GM. When we sat down and actually did the order, we specified the gray paint, since it was shown to be an optional color at the dealership. But after the sales guy went through the order and tried to save it, it wouldn't let him save it because of the color. We then chose black, and that worked. Kind of frustrating as it was the second color choice, and even it wasn't available. The gray would have kind of matched our race car, which the new truck will be towing.
