Right now I have a stock 08 Yukon Denali, not sure the acronym NNBS, or whatever, is there even and acronym sticky?

Anyway the question, right now I have the 20" stock chrome rims. I want to go bigger and do a 2/3 drop.

Any suggestions on which route to go from those that have these sizes. I am looking at the Asanti AF 131 wheels

Don't get hung up on prices as this was just a quick search.

I love this look - not sure of the size of these

22s- run around $3500 with Yokohama 285/45r22 - $720 = $4220

24s- run around $4200 with Yokohama 295/35r24 - $1300 = $5500

26s- run around $4800 with Pirelli 3055/30r26 - $1600 = $6400

I want something that will look right with the drop and will ride well as this is a family car with 4 kids that I drive daily

If kids/riding well is a big factor then definitely 22 or 24. BUT it would look damn good in 26. I had the factory 20's and went to aftermarket 24's and back down to 22's after I felt the ride had suffered a little too much so it's all on what you can cope driving with haha. Modded does 26 and pulls it off well so it can def be done, but it won't be as simple as getting a 2/3 drop kit.

yeah, being new, I am not sure what all is involved. Coming from an 06 335i, it feels like I am driving a tank that sways all over the place right now. I would sure love to tighten it up.

If you go with 26 i'm sure you can PM Modded on what all he has done to make his ride the way it SHOULD ride. I know helper bags and the free travel mod are two things that would def help along with the 2/3 kit.

without a doubt NO to 22", especially in an Asanti. Looks like crap on the NNBS.

We have two kids and daily drive out burban. Dropped 2/3 on 24s (had Asanti, now moved on) and it rides perfectly fine.

We didn't go to a 26" for fear of bending them, costs of repairs, tires, practicality, etc.

Go 24 or 26, but definetly not a 22.

I have had 22's and 24's I didn't notice very much difference in the ride between them but I don't have stock suspension either. To me 26' s look cool but are not very practical on a daily but then again I have never used them. I like to be able to drive and not have to be really careful not to bend a wheel which is how I figure it would be with 26' s.

I went to 24's from 20's and the ride for me changed 3 ways

1. Longer to come to a stop
2. Alot less wheel hop over bumps
3. Truck has a heavier feel when driving

But after like a week you barely notice it.

And that pic looks like 26's

I think you can have 22"s look great on these trucks PROVIDED there's no dish to them. I think that the face needs to be nearly flush with the sidewall, a la Escalade 7-spoke wheels. Seems that when you add any kind of lip to the wheel, the wheel looks a lot smaller than it is. Bring the face out, and the wheel looks a lot larger.

Regardless, I don't think I'd ever pay the kind of money associated with some aftermarket wheels to just go to 22"s. I'd have to go up to 24"s to make the expense worth it.
