I do think the ride is a little bumpier. I have had my 22" wheels and tires for about a month. Average mpg for me over the last 400 miles shows 14.3. I drive mostly non highway in flat west Texas.

OEM wheels on my Yukon were 20's. I did a 2/4 drop and put 24's on it. My MPG is the same, if not better. IIRC, Tony/Norcal has the same rims but in 26's and he weighed them against his oem 22's and saved 7lbs/wheel.

My wife was pushing 40, i got a 22 and ride is so much tighter
That's a great way to describe the ride "tighter" I like the ride a lot! I came from a 2014 Sierra All Terrain crew cab to my 2017 Yukon SLT with Premium Package hence the 22's. Mileage last 400 is 19.8 mixed highway (70%) and city (30%).
