I have had my 23 Suburban HC for a few weeks and just really been driving and checking it out the last few days.

First big impression: The sound quality seems like a step back from my 21 Suburban RST. I know the infotainment was redesigned for 22? Plus the 23 Suburban has the top of the line Bose with centerpoint systems.

I am surprised that the sound quality in a 87k vehicle would be average.

Could just be me, but after driving a '21 SLT for a year, our '22 Denali with a better system doesn't sound that much different, maybe even worse?

Could be that the speakers are still tight in the 2023. After a few hours of playing, some speaker cones will loosen up and sound fuller and richer.

Thanks, that is a good point!

We only have 70 miles on it.

Sounds a bit like me. My 21 RST rocked pretty good. But like poster Coleblooded noted maybe a few hours to soften up the speakers.

Have you gone through the various settings for tone and EQ boost?

Yes I have. I have have kind of settled on "normal" or "centerpoint". My fade is set toward the back and right of he driver position. The sound seem very front centric and the volume seems to be lacking compared to my 21.

Do you by chance have the autopilot turned off? I usually don’t like the auto volume systems in cars, and the Tahoe is no different, but for some reason it really makes the system more full. If it’s not on try it and see if you notice an improvement.

I will say this -- the headrest speakers in the Ultimate are the biggest waste and gimmick ever. Everyone who sits in my car asks if they are broken. You have to crank the stereo to get any sound out of them.
