23 suburban build, ordered at dealer on 7-21-22

Ordered a 2023 Chevrolet Suburban High Country 4WD, empire beige metallic, gloss black 22" wheels, retractable steps, black badging. Ordered on 7-21-23 from our small town local dealer in central WI.

As of 8-12-22 GM has not picked up the order.

This dealer is like family to us and we have bought at least 15 vehicles from them. We are trading a 21 Suburban RST which will have 40k miles by end of the year.

Will keep everyone informed of our progress.

Good luck to you. Still awaiting my 22 z71 suburban ordered on 12/16/21. Built 6/2/22. Sitting in midlothian, texas since then with no chip. Placed an order for a 23 last week. Dealer will let me take whichever comes in first. I can't believe it has been 8 months

Yikes, that is just depressing.

My dealer was pretty hopeful they would get it in by year end. It sounds like they have a regional GM rep that is quite helpful to them in getting things on track. We will see.

I placed an order for a 23 suburban high country duramax today, black, retractable steps, sunroof, RSE, 22” polished, black bow ties and also adaptive cruise. We currently have a 21 premier with every option and want the longer version. Was told acc was back in October so wait and see for that and diesel hard to get. Really wanted white frost but wife wants black.

8-24-22 - dealer is still waiting on an allotment. They are hopeful to see one next week.

Dealer told me that GM has accepted my Suburban order and is scheduled to be built late September.

They did caution me that transportation issues and something called an MP Hold could still pop up.

Seems like progress.
