Was thinking of stepping down in width and going to a 235. Anyone out there running this setup or anything close to it?

Tall skinnies like 235/85's are great tires if you live in an area with alot of snow...they are like pizza cutters. They focus all the weight of the truck into a smaller contact patch and slice through snow down to a harder surface (asphalt, dirt, etc). Not great in mud or sand though, far less floatation and more rutting. That being said, pick a good tread pattern for the conditions you usually drive in, and the rest is up to you. I've seen skilled 4x4 expo drivers get their rigs into places that seemed impossible at the time. The right tire and a skilled driver make all the difference in the world.

They do look a little goofy from the front and back though, because they are...well...skinny. That may or may not matter to you.
