Alright, i have some 22" Viscera 729 on my 05 Tahoe. Were on tahoe when i bought it. Well one rim is broke and i really dont like the rims. So instead of fixing a rim i dont like, i got some 24" KMC Slides, chrome, needs tires though. (really good deal)

Question is, how bad is it on 24"s. Few people i have asked local, went back to 22's and said 24's didnt ride good, slowed the truck down, turning problems, tire prices, speedo change, etc..

I dont have alot of cash. So before i dish out money on tires, just wanted to hear some responses on here. Was going to sell the rims on truck now for the money for the 24" tires. I really would rather have some boss 313's 22". (im thinking i might stick w/ my gut feeling and find some 22"s)

Also, i plan on lowering it 3/5.

I searched back a couple months and only found "Got new rims" not really any comparisons.

Heres a pic of the truck when i was about to get it. (The one w/ cap missing is broke rim)

maybe some one could photoshop some chrome slides on it so i can see how it will look, might change my mind if i see it.

Of course my first question is what offset did you go with? The offset is sometimes engraved on the backside. I ask becuase you say you are going to lower it, if you do lower definitely hit the dealer up for some Z71 4X4 front bumpstops.

On the 24s issue, I'd say if you went with some 305/35/24, they have a decent amount of rubber for cushioning...the 24s are obviously heavier so that's something to consider.

Dont know the offset, will have to check the rim out and see. But the tires on it now are 295/35/24. But im still debating.
