24 wheels Tahoe LT 2025

I just purchased 24 in wheels and tires are Toyo proxies. The final dimension of the tire is only 1 inch from factory at 33 inches tall and weight is 7 lbs more..

My gas manage literal took a 100% hit down to like 10 mpg from 21 only doing 75 mph.

Do I need to get something change in internal setting ?

That doesn’t sound right. A taller tire has more rolling resistance but also has lower RPM’s to help mpg. A 50% drop points to something else.

21 mpg is pretty amazing at 75 but so is 10. Assuming you have the 10 speed. Which engine?

Reset and try again. My motor home gets 10 on the highway.

If you put different size wheels and tires on your vehicle, you will have incorrect MPH and MPG readings, and also possible issues with your ABS and stability control systems, as the vehicle is programmed at the factory for the size wheels and tires installed there.

You may also have issued with the emergency forward braking system, as you have raised the height of the vehicle.

What was the purpose of installing bigger wheels and tires?

I have the 10 speed 5.2 I’m taking it in tomorrow and the service department said I probably have the tire size from the factory set to the old 18 and they will set it to the over size option and hopefully that will help.. and your right my RPM are so low when I’m on the highway. My wife wanted to strangle me as this truck is specificity for us to travel

The ones that came on mine where 18 and where ugly like cop car style. So I seen the truck next to it came with 24 so I purchased them
