26's Rubbing BADDD

What's up Fella's?
I just got my Escalade about 3 weeks ago so I have been killing to get these new rims. I found a guy on craigslist who had a set of 26 inch Giovanna 215's with pirelli scorpion tires. These things are PRISTINE. He said that he had them on his 04 Escalade so I figured they would work out fine on my new truck. As I was loading them up at his house he hands me these wheel spacers. He acted as if he was giving me a gift.... far from reality.

2 days later im jacking up my truck and pulling the factory rims. I begin to wrestle the rim onto the studs but one of the studs is just BARLEY missing so im like what the F&*$. I sit there and stare for a good 10 minutes wondering what to do next. I slip one of the 2 inch spacers threw the rim holes and it slides on flawlessly. Long story short I get the spacer on and the rims fit. No spacers no fit.

So now my truck is sitting with the rims spaced out 2 inches. If you turn the wheel more than a 1/4 turn they RUB and its sounds terrible. Actually the word terrible doesn't even begin to describe how bad it sounds. I cant even make a left turn on normal driving situation with out rubbing.

Needless to say im very upset. If anyone has any ideas on what to do PLEASE let me know. I need to do something..... Thanks guys.

I'm not 100% following you here....how can they fit with the spacers and DONT fit without. Spacers will wear out your studs FAST with 26' rims. Especially 2' spacers...something is unfortunate here I think.

Take some pictures bro, let's see what you're up against here.

-Also when you pull the rim, look for a number on the backside of the rims for the offset.
-What size tires?
-What wheel style?

What year Escalade do you have? If it is a new body style your offset will very a lot different then an 04.

Im about to get the camera and snap some pics... The offset is changed with the spacer. So its more like a spacer AND adapter if thats possible? Ill get pics up ASAP.

Man, I would pull those wheels off ASAP. Just put them back on craigslist and get the right ones. 26's are hard enough on a truck, let alone 26s that are bolted to an adapter. Spacers are a bad idea to begin with.

so is it not the correct bolt pattern to begin with? From what I understood, the studs don't match up correctly.

I would probably do like the other said and take them off and throw them back up on craigslist. From that pic, they are definitely sticking out too far. The original offset of the rim might be ok, but that 2in spacer/adapter is killing you.

x2, when/if you lower that thing it will cause some pretty bad fender damage IMHO. I would put them on ebay or craigs and be upfront with the guy buying them. I would take it a step further, find out the bolt pattern and advertise them for the vehicles that take that bolt pattern.

IF it were me, I would call the guy and let him know what I thought. I mean YOU did buy them, but now that you understand what type of setup you have, truely that was not a cool thing he did. He offloaded his wheels on you IMO.

They do stick out too far, I personally am not a fan of that. Mine are 1/4in. too far INward and I'm not fan of that either. I like the wheels to flush completely but it's a little difficult of a balance with rubbing etc on the big trucks without some modifications and planning...nothing major but you have to make some adjustments to get it 100%.
