The 285/75-16's rubbed on the passenger side suspension at close to full lock. That is the same backspacing on my wheel.

that's the kick in the a$$, i can't find a local place that carries any real stock to test them out. I hate doing it this way, but I've been relying heavily on photos and internet info....for big purchases I always prefer in person personally.

I finally found a photo of what I'm looking to do!!

I also have a black 4dr Tahoe and will be adding fender flares for my larger rim/tire setup.

I believe the tire size is 285/70/17

Currently I'm riding stock but I've thrown around the idea of a body lift...but i'd like to try these rims on a stock suspension first.

Does anyone see where this setup might cause me to rub?? Also, what do you guys think??

That 4 door looks nice. If that is the wheel and tire combo your going with, its gonna look good. IMO

Just wanted to say that when I was looking at tires, the 275/70/17's looked a little narrow to me with that much sidewall. but i guess it depends on the tire, if you can find them locally atleast take a look at the new tire sitting under your truck.
