285/60/18 Tires on 2011 Yukon: Will the rub? Seeing conflicting info...

I am looking to get wheels and tires for my wife's 2011 Yukon Denali AWD w/ stock ride height.

I want all-season tires and I want them to stick out the fenders a little... inch or so... Thinking of going for something a little beefier like 285/60R18s with an offset of around -12 to -18 ... some say I need to lift the front to prevent rubbing... some say I'll be fine... anyone here running this combination and can confirm and even maybe share a picture? Regarding wheel/tire combinations that will fit your truck without rubbing, no 2 trucks and their suspensions are exactly alike, due to a number of factors including accumulated wear on the suspension components and different wheel widths and offsets, so there is no guarantee that what fits with no rubbing on one truck will automatically fit with no rubbing on your truck. Other folks' experiences can guide you in one direction or another, but the final test will be when you mount the wheel/tire combination on your own truck.

To assist you in getting a good idea on whether or not specific alternate wheel/tire combinations 'may' fit your truck with no rubbing, I recommend that you use the wheel/tire comparison app at the URL listed below. You can use this app starting with your existing wheel/tire combination as a benchmark, assuming that there are currently no rubbing issues with it, and measure the actual critical fender and suspension component clearances as directed by this app. Then, you can enter alternate wheel/tire combinations, and this app will give you the projected changes in these critical fender and suspension component clearances.

I used this app for determining whether on not I could use my current alternate wheel/tire combination, and it accurately projected the changes in critical clearances. Again, the use of this app in not an absolute guarantee that an alternate wheel/tire combination will fit without rubbing, but it provides a much better assessment, or projection, than simply an educated guess on your part, or a statement from others that it worked on a truck other than yours.

I run 275/60R20 tires on my Yukon and they fit fine, with no rubbing. They are equivalent to 33" tires. You should have no issue fitting 285/60R18 tires (31.5") in your Yukon. Looks like you could run 285/65/R18 size tires and still be good to hook.

Hey guys. New to the forum. Saw this thread and was wondering if i could getsome help. I want to put some 275/65/18 toy at 3s on my 2010 Tahoe Ls. It currently has 2019 tahoe wheels with a 24 offset and 265/65/18. Also a 2inch rough country leveling kit, rear is stock height. Just wondeing if they will fit with no triming.I’ve been looking around and have been seeing different results, some people say no issue at all but others have to trim. I dont really want to do any trimming but dont mind a small amount if needed. Just wondering if you guys had any advice. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Any pics would be awesome too.

should fit fine. That's basically the same size as stock, right? you can fit 33s with that lift with minor trimming to the fender liners.

Well mine came stock with with 265/70/17s i belive and the offset was 31. It now has 2019 factory wheels with a 24 offset and michelin energy savers. The 275/65s are only suppose to be a 1/2 inch taller and a little wider but more squared off. I was a little worried with the offset. Also im a little confused as some people say they have the same lift and they fit fine but they also have autoride,i dont. Does that make a difference? As i inderstand the autoride already sits a little higher. Straighten me out if i’m wrong. Lol Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it guys. I might be overthinking it. Lol
