I know its not ideal but does anyone have any pics of it?

is it unsafe? Ive seen a few pics on the net and I think they look fine as far as safety but wanted some first hand knowledge.

The reason I ask is Im hoping to get a rim/tire package in the near future when these tires need replacing but wont be doing the lift for a while longer and would like to have 10" wheels when I move to the 35's.

I know 8's would be perfect but kinda want the 10's. Thoughts?

Example, here is a 265/75 on a 10"

Are you worried about the tire being stretched? You should be fine.

No not really, just wondering if theres a chance of a bead breaking loose on such a heavy vehicle on corners or something. Not that It is driven like a porche or anything but thats alot of weight bouncing around.

no I know the load rating on the tire is fine, I mean the 10" rim width is wider than recommended for a 285 tire.

unknown at this time.
If any thing it might be easier to get wheel damage when rubbing against object the sidewall. If you get a flat tire and happen to slightly move vehicle you might de-bead it. It depends how well the stiction is between the tire and wheel. I think getting it back on the bead will be the biggest challenge. Not really hard tho. Now you make me want to change my plans again.

I think that's my plan. Going with 10" dc2s wrapped in 285 Cooper at2s. By the time I get some miles on them II'll be ready to do lift, gears and 315's.
