8.1 correct? Why a 0411 pcm?

No it’s a 7.4. The 8.1 is an LS motor. It’s the same 7.4 that came in the 2500/3500 trucks/suburban between 1996-2000. The 0411 PCM swap is just like doing it to a Vortec 350, but making sure the parameters run on the 0411 like they do for the 8.1 (from my understanding). It allows for faster processing, which equals smoother running engine, more power, and opens the door for far more tunability. This 7.4 out of the RV is slightly different, since it will have an RV cam (not like your RV performance cams), and slightly different tuning. Should have more torque than your typical 7.4 and allow for more MPG.

Hey me too! I’m really excited to get this thing moving along, finally! Eventually will have it stroked to a 496 and be around 600HP/600TQ, maybe throw a supercharger on it if I’m feeling greedy lol

I’ll take pictures of the inside and you’ll see why haha. This crackhead used to live inside, and tore it apart. Interior is trashed. Motor and trans are still pristine. Between the usable parts and steel, there’s over $2000 worth of stuff, but I don’t want to deal with parting it out and selling, so let my mechanic buy it.
