I second the request on this one. I've got a 2011 SLT and it's difficult to get all the car seats in there with the head rests on! Thanks in advance for the help!
Slide headrest up and you will see a hole on the side of the little plastic piece that the headrest slides into. Use a paperclip and push in those holes when you pull up on the head rest and it should release.
Finally got mine out buts its a 2012.. On mine there is a plastic cover between headrest and seat pry this up and there are two tension springs which you press at same time with needle nose pliars...mine came right out.
on my 2011 burban I had to use the paperclip trick. The plastic trim piece on the top of the seat where the headrest goes in has a small hole that you need to insert the paperclip into so that it releases.
I was surprised to find out that the were not adjustable headrests like my '07 tahoe.
