2wd to 4wd conversion

My 04 yukon is 2wd , at my work we have a 01 Tahoe that's 4wd , was wondering if anyone knows how much of a pain it is to convert a 2wd to 4wd . All the parts are there . It'd all be free . Just wondering if it's worth it , an how much work is actually needed . I work for a wrecker company , an the Tahoe is probably just gonna sit here til it goes to scrap .
