No, its not a steal. Buy a drop kit. Put it on your self. I got a drop kit (springs, keys, and shocks) for $500. I got 26's and tires from a old man off of Craigslist for $700, yes $700. He didn't like the ride on his Toyota Tundra with the 26s so he put his stocks back on. Took my truck to a local shop and did the alignment myself for free. Don't waste your money. Learn something in the process.

Go with the 6's and level. Don't worry about all the other crap. Just remember you're riding on 6's, not dueces, and you should be fine.

Blue has a good point, but if you want 6's, just get 'em! If you really want 6's, but you go for 4's, you'll never be happy, even though 4's are super sexy. Go with what you REALLY want! It's cheaper to buy a set of 6's and a spare, than it is to buy a set of 4's, then a set of 6's later.

Shit I spent around 3 for my rims and tires. I went with quality tires so.
I went with 24's and then did a 2/3 drop. I like it. To me 3g's sounds to good to be true. If it's good stuff then do it just don't buy no crap. Just my $.02

Read post #7, he doesn't know much about these trucks so expecting him to do the work himself would be a stretch. How many other people could find a set of 26's on CL that they liked for $700? You got lucky, not everyone will get that lucky. It sounds like a good deal to me as long as he can verify that the wheels and tires aren't cheap quality. Good luck 04.

as much as i would love to say I could do the lowering myself there is no way i can. The brand name rims for the 26s were 2crave, Niche, Moz, among a few other ones for the $3k price range. The 24s were Gianelle....and its a good point its a lot more expensive to get 24s then want 26s....im still on the fence on it...With a leveling kit how is it going to sit on 24s. Is there going to be a big gap still

That depends on what size tire you get. With the right size tire any size rim can fill up the wheel well nicely :High 5:

if you get the 24's there will be a pretty big gap but the rims doesnt look too small. the 26's will fill up the wheel well nicely. if you get the 24's i recomend the djm 3/5.5 drop i have it and love it. also with that kit you can tuck it 26's

It's a good deal, do it. Don't listen to that retard who says do it yourself and find a pair of 6s on craigslist for $700. That might be the dumbest thing ive ever heard on here. I checked craigslist daily for about a year to try and find a good deal on used 6s and I have NEVER seen them even close to that cheap.
