first off decide how much airspace you want the subs to have, and then come up with 2 fixed dimensions of the box and the 3rd dimension can vary

Last time I remember squares were built for SPL, not lows. :3 If I were you, put them at 32-34htz. Are you planning on having an interesting box or just a just rectangle with 3 chambers?

Square vs circle has nothing to do with the tuning or anything like that.

I looked online it says minimum ported you want 3 cubes each, max is 6 cubes. Your going to need a pretty big box for 3 of those. Do like 14-15 cubic feet tuned to whatever you want. the12volt.com is a great site there are calculators on there where you enter your cubic feet, then it asks the width and height of your port and you enter what tuning and itll tell you how deep the port goes in the box. General rule of thumb for each cubic foot of airspace in your box you want 12-16 inches of port.

Example my box is 16 cubic feet for my 4 15's, i chose to go with a pretty big port i did 16sq inches of port per cube so 16 cubes x 16 inches of port = 256sq inches of port that i have.

thanks man ok so i put these deminsions into the program height 25" depth 25" width 48.5" these gave me 14.23524 cubic feet of interior volume does this all sound about right?

Those dimensions though don't take the port volume into account, or the displacement of the subs. Being as large as that box is, you'd want internal bracing. Don't forget to subtract the bracing from the internal volume also.

PWK charges about $60 to design a box, fill out the request sheet and give your dimensions available, goals, vehicle, and sub's specs (Qts, Fs, Vas, etc...), and he will generate you a design optimized for your application. He designed the box for Scott Buwalda's IASCA winning SQ car, so his track record is pretty solid.
