3/5" drop on an LTZ?

Hey,

Just wondering if someone can guide me in the right direction, I have an 07 Tahoe LTZ (AutoRide), can you still do a 3/5" drop. If so, can anyone recommend the best kit to do this?

I have the U2 55's 26's, will I have clearence issues?

Yes you can (drop 3/5 on Autoride) but its harder. Their are a few threads on how to do that, Xjayx is a member with a 3/5 and Autoride.
I have 26s with a 3/5 and it inly rubs in the front over hard dips in the road and full lock in reverse.

what size 26s. on teh 07 up with autorides ive done many 3/5 kits and teh tb rear springs/djm hardware kit works perfect in rear

3-5 is definitely doable, clearance issues depend on tire size and wheel offset. I have 24's on 295-35-24 tires and the only rubbing I get is at full turn on the fender liner. I have a 3.5-5.5 drop using the belltech trailblazer rear springs and spindles and a coil re locater up front. I also shortened my ride height sensors and the truck still rides great, and no warning lights have turned on yet.

^^^^ dam truck looks slammed. Customer just shot this page to me since that's the look he wanted on his ride cept in front doing spindles and machining his struts and xjayx bought the rear set up from me so wants the same look

Seems to be so many variables to getting the drop wanted without issues. Modded running 3" drop in the front with 26's with minimal rubbing. Mine with 24's rubbed big time making any kind of turn. From what I can tell from these vehicles what works for one person is not guaranteed to work for the next.

andrew also tire heights ie one brand of 305 35 24 will not be as wide or tall as another which happens. On my truck at full lock the 305 35 24 barly touch the lower fenderwells and part of the automatic running boards. I used the 2x4 trick though cause at first when I did it thing did rub hard.

perfect example the 285 35 22 bgf g force tires are 3/4 of a inch wider than hankooks in the same size.

Yea rear i trimmed a lot.

I just trimmed the flair points on the rear before hand and have had zero rubbing from it.
