30000 watt car stereo excessive ?

ive been coming across alot of youtube videos with 30k watts + stereo system
is it juts me or does anyone think thats a tad overboard and complete and utter waste of money i mean i put a loud stereo system in my tahoe wich is maybe 2500 watts total on a good day but geez 30000 watts
at 14.4 volts thats 2000 amps
you can probably run my entire neighboorhood with that much juice
sorry just had to vent some on this topic i just found it so mind boggling

first thing that comes to my mind when you say 30,000 watt system is Steve Meade..his tahoe is increadibly clean and is well known all over the US for his youtube channel and forum..look up his videos there crazy
i will say his bagged tahoe is one of the cleanest ones ive seen

I will completely agree here I envy this man this Tahoe has been a huge inspiration with me on getting one and building it

Sure it is. But i am sure there is something you might do that is excessive as well. Different strokes for different folks.

yeah theres a few things that i do or used to do in excess like drink to much booze
now that i think about it as im picking up an empty pack of ciggeretes, ive been smoking to much LOL
its hard to wrap my head around it , the extreme stereo systems the one ive done in my tahoe loud enough for me but i will admit to a slight power hunger im adding 2 more 12s for a total of 4 in my tahoe

Steve Meade's hoe is a nice build I actually had an opportunity to hear a demo when I went to visit a friend. And its LOUD and CLEAN. No distortion at all. Much respect to the man for his work. Yeah there are a few guys like Meade and J-Price that have some nasty systems. Sky is the limit. Some people 30k isn't enough they want more. Check out Meade's video of scrambled eggs and the one with the phone book.
