305/45r22 Tires on 2023 Yukon Denali?

The Yukon has Air Suspension, but I do not think that matters in terms of suspension clearance. The stock tire size is 275/50r22 in an SL load rating. Because I am towing often, want to upgrade to a XL / load rating 115 rated (max 50 psi) tire with a little more load carrying capacity in a slightly larger size but same overall diameter. Do not want an E rated tire with max of 80 psi. Could use something like the Continental TerrainContact AS in the stock tire size. Wondering if anyone has mounted something larger successfully.

Has anyone mounted 305/45r22 tires on the OEM Denali 22x9 Wheels? Any issues? I notice the upper suspension clearance at the front wheels might be tight.

I can't speak for the newest model years, but there should be no issue with that spec tire size in the 'normal' load range. I cannot speak with authority to the higher load range tires, but I suspect that they would not be an issue either.

Fitting a 305/45R22 on your rig is probably doable. Dimensionally it's not THAT much larger; It's wider, but it's actually a tad smaller diameter which will create more clearance between the front and rear of the wheel well.

The link posted above in post #3; That set up experiences a lot more tire rub more because the rims are a +10mm offset than the tire size.

I think you're bigger consideration will be in how the vehicle feels and handles with a 305/45/R22 because you're considering putting it on the stock 22" x 9" rim, that tire size really should be on a 10" wide rim at minimum. Putting a 305/45/R22 tire on the stock 22" x 9" rim will create a bit more tire sidewall bulge than you have now. You will most likely feel this in the steering. The additional sidewall bulge will result in a delayed feel in the steering as well as potentially the feel of some additional lateral side to side sway during various turning and driving situations.

Though I 'm sure you're not out there carving up the canyons in your Denali, you will still feel a difference.

The biggest issue is the very tight clearance to the suspension component behind the top sidewall of the tire. I measure less than an inch; maybe 7/8“.

Probably will stick with the 275/50r22 in an XL load rating.

Here is my 23 Premier 4wd w/magneride Duramax with 22x9 +28 (OEM replicas) with 305/45r22 nexen roadian atx. There's no rubbing. She is a little dirty though.

I put 305/45/22 toyo at3’s on a stock high country with stock wheels, no rubbing at all. This is with non air suspension….not sure how it would fair with air suspension in the lowered setting.

I didnt feel any difference. It handles great. Coming from the offroad world, theres still no “sidewall bulge” at all.
