Do you think I should have the transmission serviced at 60,000 ? New filter ect...

Thats a great question, and I think it has a lot to do with how the truck is driven. Your best bet is to take a look and see if the the fluid is dark or if it has a burned smell to it. Fluid should obviously be a red color, if you smell a burned smell from the fluid, change it right away.
I am at 50K right now and I just asked the shop to take a look at it when I had the oil changed. They said that everything still looked good, but that it would be a good idea to change it by this summer when I start towing around boats again.
When you do the service, make sure they do drop the pan and swap the filter.
