A job not done is better that a job half done, if you plan to keep your vehicle for about 15 - 20 years, stick to the normal use case service intervals and you will help yourself dearly (and then discretion by testing on top of that on most things!) unless you are driving in a lot of dirt roads, extended idling in hot weather, towing, and hauling which is the classical definition of severe use.......
Well, obviously the assumption is that any maintenance performed is properly done...any of these jobs done improperly will roach you.

I put 3 wheel hubs on my daughter' 2011 Honda CR-V college car because the morons at the tire shop couldn't use a lug nut and a torque wrench properly when swapping the Winter/Summer tires and kept cross threading/breaking lug studs. Then one jackwagon indy repair shop put a conical seat lug nut on the new hub vs the ball seat required on Honda Wheels..and damaged the wheel too boot. So bad that daughter has PTSD about winter tire swaps now. :banghead:

nothing obvious about that assumption
Keep in mind; Cummins recommends not prefilling oil filters due to people getting the foil covering from the oil containers on the clean side of the filter causing bearing damage.

personally, I want to minimize touches and maximize maintenance; not sure what the mix is, but it isn't "do everything often"
