i seen alot of people running 35s on stock tahoes with just like idk keys and spacers.. is it real??

well anyways.. im getting a good deal a set of 20 inch rims and 35s 12.5 20 tires for really cheap brand new..

i drive an 04 tahoe z71 completely stock.. nothing modified..

ok i live in chicago and im planning to use a set like these for the winter and when it gets over im gonna get some 26s thats why i dont wanna lift and specially not an expensive lift..

ok is it possible to run 35s on my tahoe on 20s with these??

will it rub too much?? again.. im not planning to go offroading willbe just for the winter.. lets say.. 6 months?? then i will get 26s

i can get 33s but like for the same price wich i think is stupid if i can go 35s with same price.. i dont have too much money so switching back and forth is not an option..

when you turn the front tires will go right into the front bumper and dust sheilds. the rears will most likely rump the inner fenders as well

35s are possible but you need a very positive offset rim like a +18 on 20x9. I think it would be best to do a 33 and not be stuffed. Even 33x12.5 rub when not using the right rim offset and most need trimming the front valance. Get the right offset and it will be good.

33x 12.5 will rub a little when turning, light trimming will fix it. I've seen 35 with keys and spacers. I cant imagine haw that is driveable... I doubt you could even thurn the wheels half way without contacting the innner fender without having just the perfect offset.

Something else i dont think you have considered is what it will do to you gear ratio. If you have 4.10s you might be OK but it will drive like it has a 3.23 gear. Im sure you will dotice the lack of power and acceleration. Also, it will kick out of overdrive (or at least onlock the converter) much more often on the highway.

33s are a great hapy medium. 35s need plannin, lifts, gears ect to operate best. If you can get 33s get them. you will regret 35s.

If you do it all though, post a pic of the 26s with a 6in lift this summer!

i have 315 70 17s and they rub a decent amount with keys and spacers. 35 12.5s are 3/4 inch wider i think they will rub a lot more. my buddy bought 35 12.5 20s on his hemi megacab with a 3 inch lift and it still isn't enough lift
