I may be the only idiot here that didn't realize this, but for some reason I thought there was an overhead camera involved with this magic. As it turns out, it's just 4 cameras. There is one in each mirror housing, one in the front and one in the rear.

The 360 down looking view just superimposes a vehicle in the middle to make it look like it's an overhead view.

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
