allows the tranny to 'slip' more, putting the engine more into peak HP and TQ areas.

For launches I'm assuming? Sorry for seeming so clueless with these. If it's used for launch purposes it must be similar to a launch control system then, something used to build revs to initiate harder launches?

launching, or driving daily,anytime under acceleration. Launch control system is more elctronic, and even unlike a tranny brake as well. More like a clutch.
