It’s so nice to drive now with the new gears. I’m still breaking them in, but it’s not bogging down going up hills now. I feel better having the posi versus the factory locker.

I had to cut some metal from the rear part of the fender. More so on the passenger side which was weird. I also did the usual angle cut on the front valance.

No rubbing after 15 miles of driving around. Let me know if more pics are needed.

With those tires and gears, that would be like 3.73s on stock size tires. Lots of giddy up over the 3.42s for sure!

When the suspension articulates, is there any rubbing?

I would love to see where you had to trim, if you have some pics.

Cecil
I pulled the liner off for the pic. A little more trimming to do on the rear part of the fender.

The 3.08s were a dog with the 285/70r18s, so I wasn't about to leave them in for this bigger/heavier setup. It's drives effortlessly up hills now with the new gears. No problems turning the 37s and steelies (120 lbs per wheel/tires combo). The 37s actually turn better in low speed, tight turning AND they ride better. The only downside is the sidewall. The Nittos handled better probably due to a stiffer sidewall.

No rubbing when driving around the streets, bumps, dips, or highway. It only rubs when I am going into a driveway that is inclined and the wheels are turned. I haven't had time to pinpoint the last bit of trimming of the rear part of the front fenders.

VERY NICE! I was debating getting a Gladiator and putting this combo in, but after reading through their forum I figured I would be an idiot to trade a perfectly good burb for one - those trucks have a lot of issues. So where do you do the gears done? I may have to copy your ass, lol...

Local shop suggested the ratio. They installed my Kryptonite tie rods, so I felt good going back. Very slight whine can be heard over the mud tires sometimes. I also went with a Yukon diff cover, but it’s blocked by a 33 inch spare (I have a 37 inch spare to test fit…will it fit hmmm).
