4 Hi mod help

hate to bring back an old thread but im having a major problem with my lights.
HID low and high with relays on both and i have been trying to get the 4 high conversion right for 5 days.
right now i have a diode between the high and low which worked fine for 15 minutes but now when i go from high to low i lose a low beam or both and they wont come on
can anyone help me please

you probably shorted the diode. i really wish people would just buy the mod kit from painless wiring. i feel one day you guys are gonna start a fire in the engine bay.

how would i have shorted the diode if everything is wrapped in electrical tape
like i said im new to this(not questioning your answer just 110% confused about this whole deal)

voltage transients mainly. actually scratch that if it is no longer letting power from high to go to low in high mode then the diode is open which is usually over-current that has that effect. you could try another diode if it happens again then your wiring/selection of components is no good.

Its letting some power, going to high works fine, its going back to low when i lose the low. When i go back they sorta flicker then they are gone? I have a 3amp 50piv diode

test your head light witch when it happens to see if the internal breaker is acting up. is this happening every time?

ok im pissed now they are working fine except sometimes when switching the lights to go to DRL i will lose a light or both and if i flash them i will lose lows??

inspect for good grounds. to the right of battery on side wall for right lights. just behind the grill about center for the left lights.

something intresting- i only have 11.4 volts to trip the relays

battery reads 11.99

when going to the lows they flicker about 3 times then go out

what does the battery terminals read?
