at 55k trans went out, i got under to see that the retaining ring groove thats machined into the trans housing for the servo cap had broken causing the retaining ring and servo cap to fall out in which the servos started working their way out too. the stealership stated the 3 and 4 clutch plates were burned up too. gm told them to do a in-shop rebuild rather than ship a reman. trans to them. this makes me worry because their trans tech has no QC unlike a reman. trans coming out of a reman. shop. with 45k left on warranty i told them if their in-shop rebuild (with no QC) goes out shortly after warranty is up im gonna be a pissed MF. thoughts anyone?

Do you have another dealership nearby? How do you know there is not a QA protocol at this dealership?

IMO if no other option, just have them complete the rebuild. They did not say anything about the corvette servo (who installed it)? Since it is being rebuilt, I would consider buying upgraded parts for them to install if you plan on keeping the truck for a while.
