You can reprogram your factory tcm with EFI live and control the trans. And save a ton of money. Will coat you $150 for EFI license and a local programmer to go thru your tcm and change the shift points and sensor readings. It is not hard. Any seasoned programmer/EFI operator can do this in couple hours. Your looking at 3-400 and you keep your same harness.

http://www.nelsonperformance.com/ sells the pigtail adapter for $89 and will flash an ECU with the 4L80E and my VIN for about $165 shipped, OR for $300 they send me a flashed ECU with my VIN, 4L80E AND performance tunes that include lifetime upgrades including a CAM. Once it goes to a CAM and heads that will cost $100 extra ($400 total) and then will include lifetime upgrades. A place that will flash a computer send it to me so there is no downtime?!?!!? This is what I image excellent customer service to be like!

Once i put the LQ9 6.0 in my 2004 Tahoe and had it tuned, the trans lasted about a month, huge difference in torque and horsepower, I have had the trans rebuilt 5 times, The wieght of a Tahoe on that trans is just too much for it to handle, I also have had the diff redone twice, Now i have an Eaton Posi unit with 4:12 billit gears in it, bullit proof. If i finish it off with a 4L80e and the edlbrock supercharger that should finish my project.
