Just installed the vette servo and 4th gear servo from Oregon performance. I accidentally left the stock washer in instead of putting the new washer provided with the 4th gear servo kit. I drove the truck and it seems to be fine, everything is shifting smooth. Do I need to take it apart and replace the stock washer with the one provided or will it be ok as is?

Hope this makes sense.

Were they the same size? If not id probably not risk a washer screwing you over and blowing something. Im paranoid so i would switch em out

They seem to be the same thickness but the washer in the kit is larger in diameter.

I dont know... If its same thickness then there really shouldnt be a problem but maybe the larger diameter is there to fit snug agains where it goes? How much clearence was there like diameter of each washer?

I hear ya and I agree, I'll just change it. Being lazy isn't going to benefit this situation.

Thanks for making me realize I just need to do it right.
