if it pops again you may need to replace the shift motor on the t-case or the case may have a mechanical binding issue.

I've been driving around with the 4wd engaged all day. I blew 5 T case fuses today. You suggested a few fixes to the T case but I'm out of money. What can I do to get it back to 2HI? Also, is it bad to drive in 4wd continually?

risk another fuse or more to get it in 2wd. then yank that fuse out. let me know if that works. and yes constant 4wd on dry pavement is bad.
