4WD Problems

I have a 2000 Tahoe. Having problems with the 4WD. The dash mounted switch has problems switching into different modes. Somethings it will not change, other times it will change into 4hi or even once, 4lo. When that does happen it's very difficult to get it back out. Smacking the dash where the switch is has helped.

I took it to a mechanic who said it's the module on the front axle. After reading some now not so sure.

Anyway I can be sure?

Are you sure its not just the switch,get a second opinion for sure.

I would replace the switch first. I had the same problem before I replaced mine. Now it's all good.
