ok soi went out to test out the truck to make sure 4hi was working and it sure as hell is just ask the extremely dry u joint that let go (im talking zero grease) which i found out was so dry when i decided to change them tonight which was a blast only being able to find a 8oz ball peen hammer but and hour later they are in and drive shaft is back on the truck ready for the 14 inches of snow we are supposed to get tonight into tomorrow.

The new question is how important is 4lo really if im not going to be going off road

I guess it depends how much it would cost to get the 4lo working. I've only used it once to get me out of some deep snow....so once in 8 years....and if it didn't work, I had a tow strap and people that would have pulled me out.
