5.3 engine

I would like to know if the new vortec 5.3 liter engine from a 2009 tahoe with the Active fuel managment fit in a 2004 tahoe 5.3l Flexfuel and if any modification needed thanks.

Assuming you referring to long block to long block
Yes it will drop right in
Use your original motor mounts
Orginal intake, oil pan (as long as the low level float is is the new one)
All Orginal accessories

You will need a DOD delete kit. (8 new lifters, lifter trays, head bolts, head gaskets, valley cover)
And the Lengenfelter 58x to 24x adapter. This will extend any wiresvthat are need also.

So what TxTooTall is saying is yes an active fuel management 5.3 will drop right in if you delete active fuel management, which is what I would guess you were looking for in the first place.
