I didn't. I did blow the stock trans--obviously! I just had a stock/beefier 4l60e rebuild, along with a vette servo. It shifted great. If you do a 6.0, you're def gonna need a beefier trans, which you can do to your 60e--because you'll def blow yours.I'm not sure if it's been asked. Tonyrodz did you also swap in the 4L65E?
As of late I've been kicking around just upgrading the 4L60E and 5.3. However, my buddy built a 5.3L and put in a mild cam. He said he wished he'd done a 6.0L. So I stopped by the junkyard today and may have them try and track me down the 6.0 w/ 4L65E as well. Just have to finish my pesky paint job lol
No issues what so ever. Everything--for my swap--was plug n play. If I'm not mistaken--the bellhousings, flywheels and blocks themselves should be all the same--from 03-06 anyway. 0 fitment issues for mine.I may look for an old 4L60 to rebuild with 4L65 or 4L70 parts while I look for me Lq4.
curious were there any firment issues between trans and motor? Did you need the lm7 / 5.3L flywheel / anything else?

What year is yours again, and what year is the motor?I found a blown 6.0. Says they lost oil pressure. Not sure how bad, or if I should even mess with it. Whatever motor I get the plan is to rebuild so roll of dice maybe a good buy? Guy want's $600 but not sure I want to offer that unless he lets me tear it down in front of him.
I am pretty sure the 5.3 harness will work with 6.0 so I could swap the motors out no problem? Then load a 6.0 Tune to my controller?
