2002 GMC Yukon Denali XL. Welp for the record I DID search for this but everyone is trying to be bat man and replace the compressor as well. Here is my dilemma
Vehicle came with warning lights on dash and no compressor. I'm wondering instead of paying for all the expensive Arnott stuff can I put in the Monroe 90012 conversion kit, and buy a monroe airline kit but instead of buying a dorman compressor can I just plumb the monroe airline kit to the rear bumper so I can manually fill it? I'll keep it at like 10-15 psi unless I'm towing then put it back down... I have one of those offroad deflating devices (Currie E-Z deflator) which removes the air stem inside but keeps it in place while releasing air along with a mechanical air gauge...
Now if I am able to do this the kit comes with resistors for what I'm assuming is the electronic dampening portion of the autoride system... will I have issues with the compressor not being plugged in? IE. Service Autoride Light? Thanks
