So I don't drive my truck much... maybe 3000 miles a year. Anyway, I keep a battery tender on it in the winter and start it up once a month and let it run until it gets warm. So I went out to start it the other day and saw that the battery tender had become unplugged, and the battery was dead.
I grabbed my battery booster (Noco BoostX) and hooked it up, and went to start the truck. Battery was too dead and so I had to use the override mode on the Noco. When the Noco engaged, I heard a small "pop" sound from somewhere in the engine bay. I cranked the engine... good long steady crank, but no joy... no spark? no fuel?. Very weird, this truck always runs, and now I am wondering if the Noco might have burnt something out.
Any suggestions where I might look first?
PS: Not a mechanic, but between YouTube and patience, I tend to muddle through.
