I have an lq9 to drop into my truck with a full set of bolt on parts and a cam, how quickly am I going to destroy the 4L60E? Are there any upgrades to do with the trans to prolong the inevitable?

You will be fine with the 60e, but I would suggest a shift kit, and vette servo at the minimum. A larger transmission cooler would be good too.

I installed a vette servo on my supercharged 5.3L and the 60e is still running strong!

and get the biggest tranny cooler you can, a good TrailBlazer stall will be fine, but also depending on cam specs. You may need a bigger Yank.

Justin has the Trans Go HD2 and Vette Servo in his Silverado as well, no issues.
