Hello

Can't find anything about doing this since nobody would want to, but if the opposite is possible how can I put a 5.3 into my 2015 Denali? It's like a 1/5 of the price I haven't been able to find a used 6.2 and reman is 13k CAD before shipping to remote island lol

Can I swap in a complete 2015 5.3 and put a 5.3 tune on it?

There's no reason you can't do that but given the availability and price of them here in Oklahoma I'm going to guess that you're just not looking in the right places or have unrealistic expectations. I can find 4-5k motor/trans combos for the 6.2 here pretty much any day of the week and I actually just found a 34k mile 6.2 + 4x4 10 speed with transfer case for $7600 OBO just as an example and I wouldn't expect it to sell for that much. Even if you paid some silly price for freight to get one in from the US I would think that's better than sticking a 5.3 in.

I have a 2008 6.0 in a dead hybrid in my driveway too lol, could I use that or too old to be compatible?

There's so many differences between the GMT900 LS motors versus the K2XX LT motors getting the electronics sorted out would be a nightmare if even possible.

I agree with @gtrslngrchris post above; You're just not looking hard enough or in the right places. There are plenty 6.2L L86 motors available with low miles.

What happened to the 6.2L L86 motor that's in your '15 Yukon Denali now?
